Balcatta Etna FC wishes to advise its members, supporters and the wider NPL community that the Club has formally raised a matter with Football West concerning the application of the 2026 NPL Player Roster Principles.
Following previous discussions and correspondence, the Club has obtained legal advice and has asked that the matter be considered through the appropriate football regulatory processes.
We recognise that the timing of this matter, coming into the final round of the season, is far from ideal and may create uncertainty for several clubs. We apologise for that uncertainty and respect the position of all clubs affected by the final competition standings.
Our intention is simply to ensure that the applicable rules are considered and applied consistently and that the matter is properly determined through the established processes.
As the matter is now formally under consideration, Balcatta Etna FC will not comment further on its merits at this time.
