We have a great opportunity to be part of the world game, to be part of the Women’s World Cup euphoria within a progressive football Club which is serious about taking the women’s game to the next level.
We are seeking to introduce a highly motivated NPLW First Team Head Coach with a proven track record that will take the Club and the team to the next level.

 

The Coach will be given the tools and autonomy to drive the journey in alignment with our vision and values.
Balcatta Etna Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Balcatta, Perth, Western Australia. Our vision is to offer all players a challenging and enjoyable experience that will ensure they remember their time with football as a positive one.
We strive be recognised as a leading developer of players in Perth,
recognised for innovation and excellence, producing players with the necessary skills to play at the highest levels of the professional game. In season 2023, the Balcatta Etna FC NPLW21’s were crowned minor premiers demonstrating our progress.
Our aim is to recruit, retain and develop players who will eventually go on to play professional football at the highest level. Developing people to their maximum potential, ultimately the aim is to produce professional footballers with outstanding character.

About the Role:

Deliver on and off field success.
Drive the Club Vision and Culture.
Lead the NPLW First Team in accordance with Club values and Code of Conduct.
Prepare the football vision and philosophy.
Recruit and develop players to fulfil the ambition including trials.
Establish a sustainable system and approach to player development.
Maintain/enhance football coaching competence.
Create an outstanding learning environment.
Prepare and oversee the pre-season program.
Planning and delivering engaging and informative team coaching sessions.
Support junior and under 21 player development including being part of other team sessions on an ad how basis.
Be a role model and ambassador for the Club.

Work in collaboration with NPLW coaches developing positive relationships in an environment focused on player and coach development, and club progression.
Work alongside the Committee, Sub committees and other coaches and staff.
Develop positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Organising team building sessions and activities off the field.
Fostering good sportsmanship in all team players, resolving disputes, and addressing bad behaviour in a timely manner.
Identifying exceptional players who might be scouted for scholarships and to play in professional leagues.

Requirements, Skills and Experience:

A love of the game.
Previous coaching and leadership experience with a proven track record.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be professional, hardworking and organised.
FFA B Licence is ideal or working towards.
Ideally a playing career at a semi-professional level or higher.
Ability to conduct technical analysis.
Knowledge of football periodisation.
Current Working with Children’s Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
Be reliable, organised, flexible, and willing to learn.
Builds trust by showing humility, behaving consistently and putting the needs of others first.
Listens to others’ perspective and understands why people (individuals/ groups) do what they do.
Tailors approach and method to suit the differing needs and levels of readiness of people (individuals/ groups).
Uses a broad range of influencing skills to win people (individuals/ groups) over and ‘sell’ the vision.
